So someone at MQ decided it would be a good idea to release a bunch of the algebra notes for MATH130.
 
We have just finished week 10 of a 13 week semester. These notes would have been more useful to have had earlier in semester. They are of extremely poor quality in terms of layout and presentation. I haven't had a chance to go through them all myself yet, and I will try and update my own notes with any material that might be missing. If this is what Macquarie calls a professional job, then the Math's department cannot be trusted to do a good job. They are even worse than the Chen & Duong notes (which are highly detailled, yet require a Rosetta Stone to understand).
 
Feel free to take a look yourself.
 
In the mean time, here's an update to my own notes. You can compare and contrast what a (failing) student is producing against what they are expecting us to learn from and make your own choice. Until they pick their game up, I recommend attending elsewhere for anything involving Maths.
