Here's another update... I can't really provide a delta (a list of changes between previous version and this one), however, here's some of the changes I can remember:

• Michael Griffin spotted a bunch of typographical errors in formulae
• I also jigged around with some of the graphs in tikzpicture, gnuplot and
• created a couple of subsections outlining the types of functions
